The Insight: In the high-net-worth wealth management, clients aren't buying “investment products”—they are buying peace of mind. During our discovery phase, we realised that the “faceless” nature of big banks was actually Northbrook’s biggest opportunity. We decided to pivot away from the aggressive “growth” imagery of the finance world and lean into the “stability” of professional service sectors like architecture and law.
The Positoning: We positioned Northbrook as the “Personal Powerhouse.” The visual language needed to say: “We have the big-bank expertise to protect your wealth, but the boutique focus to remember your children’s names.”

The Execution

Identity System
We avoided the clichés of arrows, graphs, and pound signs. Instead, we focused on Typography and Balance.
- The Logo: A sophisticated serif-meets-humanist-sans wordmark. It feels grounded, architectural, and permanent.
- The Palette: A foundation of Deep Navy and Slate Gold for authority, balanced with Warm White to provide “breathing room” and a sense of modern transparency.
- Typography: Clean, confident, and highly legible across both high-end print and digital interfaces.
Application
The brand was rolled out across a suite of premium touchpoints. We focused heavily on the Brand Clarity Guide, ensuring that whether Northbrook is presenting a complex retirement plan in a PDF or sharing insights on LinkedIn, the “Modern Classic” aesthetic remains unshakable.
